Paul Rayner’s latest ceramics are a contemporary interpretation of 18th century Staffordshire figurines. They depict weird individuals who are the typical subjects of 'reality TV' programmes and tabloid journalism; the 'circus freaks' of the 21st century.

For this exhibition Mark Rayner has produced a series of ceramic figurines and illustrated plates. His subjects include social outcasts, serial killers, mutants, and perverts - a band of unsettling characters that to him exemplify 'The Weird Ones'.
