Nothing is Neutral by Janna van Hasselt
Medium: silkscreen, lithograph, dye & crayon transfer, acrylic, ink & enamel on paper
Size: 660 x 1020mm
This series of drawings was created alongside a body of sculptural work made for van Hasselt's masters thesis show at SAIC. They are spontaneous two-dimensional translations of her three-dimensional pieces. The printed elements have a freedom and fluidity compared with the rigidity of the overdrawn work in ink, carbon transfer and watercolour.
