Undeterred by the challenges of 2020, we have continued a longstanding annual tradition by inviting over 30 artists to create original artworks using 300 custom-cut plywood shapes. Each artist or collaborative pair was given 10 Reuleaux (curved-edge) triangles and the latitude to create whatever they wished. The exhibition will be a rich testament to the optimism, resilience, and ingenuity of the participating artists. It also presents a unique opportunity to acquire an original work of art for only $100.
$10 from each piece sold will go to Seed's ongoing charity partner, KidsCan. Through practical means, KidsCan helps disadvantaged Kiwi kids to engage in their education and reach their full potential.
Artist Kylie Rusk will facilitate a fun art-making workshop at Studio One Toi Tu on 21 November. Experiment with a variety of art mediums using a wooden template of your own. Drop in any time between 2 and 4pm to get involved.
